Thirds Party Reviews - Goals

The goal of this project was to help build the online profile of the Healthful Pets brand, in order to boost traffic and product sales. We also aimed to increase customer retention, leading to greater repeat custom.  

The reviews also populate the products pages which can be used as a direct sales tool to convert customers. The use of reviews allows impartial feedback to persuade customers into action and increase the conversion rate of product pages.  

Another goal was to improve SEO through semantic search. Semantic search seeks to improve accuracy based on user intent and taking into consideration the context of the search. Additionally, the content development functionality allows a client to place keywords strategically in replays.

Reviews.co.uk was chosen as it is cost effective, user friendly and has domain authority due to its age.

Method

In order to achieve the project goals, we focused on securing third party reviews through Reviews.co.uk. We used targeted emails to contact customers shortly after they had made a purchase and asked them to leave a review. Contacting customers in this way provided an extra touch point and encouraged retention.

As well as having the reviews available on Reviews.co.uk, they were also prominently embedded on the Healthful Pets website, providing additional trust flow and social proof to new customers.

A strategy was placed into action to ensure that all reviews are responded to in the correct manner. The use of keywords in replies in a strategic way help improve overall SEO of the website.

Third Party Reviews - Results

By using this approach of targeted emails to gain customer feedback, we were able to quickly go from zero to over 170 reviews on Reviews.co.uk.

With over 92% of customers leaving a five star rating, and an average rating of 4.87 overall, this has also helped to increase retention and conversion.

This has provided a new level of trust, allowing customers to see practices of Healthful Pets in an objective manner. The system itself manages all elements of the reviews which can be tailored to your business message.

Since the adoption of third party reviews we have seen an increase of 63.24% in pages views, 62% increase in organic search and a 47% increase in direct traffic of previous customers returning to the website.
